1. Service description
GrowCopilot AI (“the Service”) is a web-based application that provides AI-powered plant health analysis, grow tracking, and context-aware chat for indoor growers. The Service is operated by:

2. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
3. Account registration and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
During the beta period, access is granted by invitation only. We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or terminate access at our discretion.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Upload content that infringes on the rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond what is provided by our official integrations (Raspberry Pi client, Home Assistant add-on)
- Interfere with the proper operation of the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
5. AI-generated content disclaimer
The AI analysis, health reports, chat responses, and all other AI-generated content provided by the Service are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional agricultural advice, horticultural consultation, or expert plant care guidance.
AI-generated analysis may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You should:
- Always use your own judgement when acting on AI suggestions
- Not rely solely on AI analysis for critical growing decisions
- Consult qualified professionals for serious plant health issues
- Understand that AI recommendations regarding nutrient dosages, environmental adjustments, and treatment plans are suggestions, not prescriptions
GrowCopilot AI is not liable for any plant damage, crop loss, or other consequences resulting from actions taken based on AI-generated content.
6. Your content and data
You retain ownership of all photos, diary entries, and grow data you upload to the Service (“Your Content”). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display it back to you as part of the Service.
You may export or delete Your Content at any time. Account deletion permanently removes all your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and documentation, is the property of Nicolas Preußmann and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.
The GrowCopilot name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Nicolas Preußmann. You may not use them without permission.
8. Subscription and pricing
The Service is currently in beta and available free of charge to invited users. We intend to introduce paid subscription tiers in the future. Any pricing changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance to existing users.
Free-tier users may be subject to usage limits on AI analyses and chat messages. These limits will be clearly communicated within the application.
9. Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GrowCopilot AI and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or crops, whether arising from contract, tort, or otherwise.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from the Settings page in the application. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Heidelberg, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
14. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
